Answering my childhood questions Pt -2 | Was Jesus a western God?

I assumed as a child that Jesus was someone from the west, an English man who was introduced to my nation by the British and He was their God.

Question: Was Jesus a western God?

Let’s go!

First and foremost, Jesus did not start any new religion called “Christianity”.
He did not come to abolish the “law” but to fulfil it.
Matthew 5:17-18  Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

His Birth (Also, check Part-1)

Isaiah 7:14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel ( God with us).

Matthew 1:17  So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Romans 1:3-4  Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead
.

John 1:10-11  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

The above are a few verses by which we can conclude that HE was the seed of Abraham, of David. By now, you must know that HE was not any western God (but HE is “the God” manifested in flesh).

His purpose (quoting just a few verses):

John 4:21-22  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

// Know that the salvation came from the Jews. Jesus was a Jew.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

// Whosoever believeth irrespective of their past.
Note : Jesus didn’t come to convert anyone. It is we who went away from the true God and started making our own gods. (For more , study Genesis)

John 5:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

//Shall not come into condemnation but is passed from death unto life.

John 18:37  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

//To this end He was born.
Also, study Romans 3:23-27

To conclude :
Jesus was not any foreign man who came to ruin my nation. He is God who became man, to save us from the condemnation, judgement, anger of God, death that was upon us. He didn’t come only for Americans, Brits or Jews. He came for everyone of us, so that we may not die but have life everlasting! His death on the cross wasn’t the end, Jesus rose from the dead, that’s what I stand upon today!
Side note : One of Jesus’ disciples Thomas came to India first to preach the gospel.

Byeee!
